Chiropractic Adjustments

Dr. Julie is proficient in several adjusting techniques.  Most of her work is low force, meaning that there is not a lot of "popping" or "cracking" when an adjustment is rendered. 

Her primary adjusting technique for adults is Activator Methods.

Activator Methods International, Ltd. (AMI) has been providing chiropractic care, resources and training since 1967. Founded on the principles of clinical research, AMI’s major contribution to chiropractic care is discovery and development of the Activator Method Chiropractic Technique and the associated Activator Adjusting Instrument.  Please visit the Activator Methods International website for more information.

Other techniques include:

Logan Basic, Diversified, and Craniosacral adjusting.

Webster Prenatal Technique is a specific chiropractic technique for evaluating and balancing the maternal pelvis to encourage the most optimal fetal position and presentation for labor and delivery, and to reduce the pelvic and uterine imbalances that lead to labor dystocia.  Dr. Julie has been certified twice in the Webster Prenatal Technique, and loves helping pregnant patients prepare for the best possible labor & delivery.  Please visit the International Chiropractic Pediatrics Association website for more information about the Webster Prenatal Technique.

At The Human Joint we share our space with a wonderful massage therapist ~

Vivian Masters (Masters' Touch Massage & Wellness) has massage duties at The Human Joint.  She is available for full-length, full-body massage therapy, as well as being available during Dr. Julie's office hours for mini-massages at $1 per minute.  The lovely & talented Peggy at our front desk has access to her schedule and can make your massage appointments for you!  Get a mini-massage before your next adjustment, or set aside 90 minutes for a luxurious, therapeutic full-body massage.
