Patient Forms

Upon entering our office, our office manager, the lovely & talented Peggy, will welcome you as a member of our family.  She will request that you complete our patient forms. This paperwork provides us with your health history and information about you, your condition, and your expectations.

Consultation

Next, you will have a consultation with Dr. Julie to discuss your health-related problems, concerns, and potential treatment options. This initial visit is designed for Dr. Julie to learn more about you, your condition, and expectations to determine how chiropractic care can help you meet your goals.

Near the end of your first visit an adjustment will be rendered.  Dr. Julie will explain everything as it happens.  She will never sneak up on you for any part of your adjustment.

Most visits at The Human Joint included several relaxing minutes on an intersegmental traction table.  It's a lovely, quiet way to conclude your visit.

Advice For Ongoing Care

Dr. Julie will begin making care recommendations on your 2nd visit.  She does not employ a one-size-fits-all formula for her recommendations.  Rather, you and she will spend time discussing your response to care, your goals, and your financial & scheduling considerations.

The bottom line about the frequency of your visits is this:  We need to do enough work to make a difference for you and your life.  If you're still having symptoms between your chiropractic visits, we haven't done enough work yet.......

Dr. Julie says:  "Chiropractic always works!" 

If you or someone you know has had a "less than ideal" experience with a chiropractor, it is most likely that there was either a mismatch with the doctor's personality or with the doctor's adjusting technique.

Rather than assuming that "Chiropractic doesn't work," it makes sense to do some research/ask some friends/make some phone calls to to locate a doctor of chiropractic who is more compatible with you.
